NOFI Kick-off 28.1.2026 and a Seminar on the Green Transition and Sustainable Aviation Fuel
We are pleased to invite you to a seminar exploring one of the most dynamic areas in the green transition — the rapid development of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) and their impact.
The Norwegian pioneer Norsk e-Fuel aims to drive the transition to renewable aviation by establishing the industrial production of sustainable fuels based on CO₂ and water. As a project developer, the company is building large-scale production sites to deliver synthetic fuels to the aviation industry across Norway, Sweden, and Finland.
Finland is very well positioned to assume a strategic role in the developing CO₂-related value and supply chains. The recent carbon capture and storage (CCS) agreement between Norway and Finland opens the door to concrete commercial collaboration, and the efficient utilisation of biogenic CO₂ lays the foundation for new industrial operations, as evidenced by Norsk e-Fuel’s planned investments in Rauma and Imatra. These developments are prime examples of the importance of nurturing and maturing Norwegian-Finnish industrial cooperation.
We will meet our distinguished guests, Lars-Björn Larsen, Chief Operating Officer at Norsk e-Fuel AS; Jacob Laading, Vice President at Nordic Investment Bank (NIB); and Astrid Stavseng, Chief Specialist at Norwegian Ministry of Energy in Norway; and Professor Imran Asghar; Associate Professor at Tampere University. They will share insights into the technological, economic, and financial drivers behind SAF development and the future of renewable aviation in the Nordics. The panel will explore high-interest business cases, perspectives from the financial sector, policy and regulatory aspects, and the latest developments in energy technology and science, moderated by NOFI’s Vice Chair, Klas Blomqvist.
Join us for this timely discussion and secure a seat right away!
